Last week I visited Sequoia National Park and snapped a couple photos with IP's "600 Speed" film. Like I have mentioned in previous posts, there is a slight green tint to this new version of their film. I really love the tint and it really benefited me while I was in the forest above Central California. Here are two shots from the "Congress Trail".

Project Update: I have not been posting much on my blog the last two weeks as I am working on getting caught up on scanning polaroids for my next book project, "I Was a Pioneer". A book full of polaroids from when I was an "Impossible Project Pioneer", testing the first versions of their film.
I had the chance to order some of The Impossible Project's new film for my trip to Lake Tahoe last week. The first thing I noticed when I received them was the beautiful new branding, the film packs simply look great! And if that wasn't enough, the new formula is incredibly predictable. If you have been too scared to dive into instant film, this film is your chance!
All images were taken 10/19/13 in the Tahoe National Forest.

Last weekend I visited Lake Tahoe, Ca and spent some time shooting some instant film around the lake. These were shoot with a Polaroid Land Camera 220 /w Fuji FP-100c instant film. Devolved for 70 seconds in about 80 degrees F.
Words don't do Dallas justice. Here are some polaorids instead.

Last Thursday Oct 3rd I attended Fresno's monthly event, Art Hop. I spent most of my evening with Love The Captive at 1830 Van Ness taking some pictures of some really great bands: Actess, Dirty Limbs, and Light Thieves. Those photos will follow soon but I took some polaroids while I was there and really wanted to share them with you. These are of the band Actress, you should go listen to them, Here.
Today I converted a Polaroid Land Camera 220 to AAA batteries and wanted to take some test shots to get used to the camera. I had some expired (August 2000) Polaroid 669 Packfilm laying around so I decided to give it a shot. I shot both of these images with the ISO set to 75 and because the film is 100 ISO I moved the dark/light wheel two notches to lighten to compensate. I let each of these images develop for 80 seconds in approximately 78 Degrees F. Overall I am very pleased with the results, the cyan is gorgeous and I can't wait to get my hands on more.
Last Friday I attended FUSE Fest and took some photos for my good friends over at Arroz Y Friyoles Music Zine. I got to see some REALLY awesome artists including but not limited to Cockamamie Jamie & Collecto. Click the screenshot below to check them out!

Here are two more shots from my short trip to
Bass Lake, Ca last weekend. Most likely the best two from the whole day.

Today I took a short trip to Bass Lake and snapped a couple shots outside of The Forks restaurant. Besides having the best hamburger anywhere, the restaurant has awesome views from right outside the door. Bass Lake was beautiful, though I wish I would have caught some softer light earlier in the day, these polaroids turned out to be a tad over exposed.

For the first time in a long time I headed out to Art Hop. I decided to go check out Studio Itz and see BedeDoni play. I was honestly surprised and had a great time listening to her sing some of her songs. I HIGHLY suggest checking out her page: here. She was kind enough to give me some time before her set for a couple shots. Check them out:

The last two months I have gone a expired film adventure with very limited successful results. I bought numerous packs of expired Time Zero craving the gold and blue tones they produce but was unable to get any shots that processed correctly. The only two shots that have come out over 7 packs of film are these two. This pack of Time Zero expired 10/09. I doubt I will be making a switch to any other ebay films soon; to much of a gamble to be consistent.
Risa Rodriguez was kind enough to pose today for a couple of snap shots. Make sure you check out her band: Risa and the Loyal! Taken with Px680 Film + Polaroid 680slr.
What is Tuesday Foodsday? Khan Shadid described last night's the best:
"The last two weeks my friends Michael, Alleha and I have been having a kick ass time every Tuesday making food and having dinner with a different set of friends each time. This has made my weeks exponentially better because:
People say things like: "If that's large, I'm doing very well in life"
Man crushes get revealed.
Occasionally a band like the Generationals is discovered.
Books are discussed (I'm not kidding, this actually happened!)
and new friends are made."
I took the opportunity the last two Tuesdays to use my new 680slr in combination with PX680 and some Expired Polaroid 780 Turbo (Exp 01/2008). And a word of advice, I wouldn't get film any older than this!
